Scott Stewart's Circuit heater continues with another gold ring victory.

Stateline, Nev. (November 3, 2015) -- Scott Stewart is starting to make it look like winning a gold ring is an easy thing to do. He has just won his fourth career WSOP Circuit gold ring, and astonishingly, they have come since December of last year.

"I quit my job and took a shot in San Diego, and from there it's just been a killer year," said Stewart.

Stewart won his first WSOP Circuit gold ring at Harrah's California in San Diego, Cali. last December. He then went on to win ring at Harrah's Tunica, the Bicycle Casino in L.A. and now one here in Tahoe.

"This is my favorite stop. This is the fifth year I have been here and I have gotten a second, a third and a fourth," said Stewart.

The win for Stewart here at this stop was a little bit of redemption after coming so close to his first gold ring several times here in the past.

Six max final tables are always tough and this one was no different. Beside Stewart, the final table featured Dan Stir (4th place) and Craig Gold (5th place). Both Stir and Gold have seen a good amount of success on the Circuit as of late. Stir has reached two Circuit Main Event final tables in the past year, including last year's Tahoe Main Event and Gold is a gold ring winner with already three cashes and two final tables at this series.

Stewart beat Ralph Kellagher heads-up for the title. Kellagher would have to settle for second place in this event for the second time in his career. He finished runner-up in the Harveys Lake Tahoe six max event in 2013.

Stewart has a busy poker schedule ahead of him and he will be going hard for a fifth gold ring. Stewart plans to stay in Tahoe for the remainder of the series and then head to Las Vegas for the Planet Hollywood series. After PH he intends head to L.A. for the Bicycle Casino series.

This marked Stewart's 11th career Circuit cash and 9th final table. Only twice in his career has Stewart cashed and not reached the final table. He is the 22nd player in Circuit history to earn four WSOP Circuit gold rings and he is halfway to catching all-time Circuit gold ring leader, Alex Masek, who has eight gold rings. Masek denied Stewart a gold ring here in Tahoe in 2011. He beat him heads-up in a $345 NLHE event. At the time it was Masek's fourth career gold ring.

This is the first gold ring Stewart has won in the six-handed format.

Event #5 was the fifth of 12 gold ring events on the WSOP Circuit schedule at Harveys Lake Tahoe. The $365 No-Limit Hold’em Six Max tournament attracted 178 players generating a $53,400 prize pool. The top 18 players were paid.

Day 1 began Monday at 11 a.m. and lasted 21 levels. Day 2 began Tuesday at 2 p.m. with five players remaining. The tournament concluded at about 5 p.m. midway through Level 25.

Scott Stewart (pictured) now has the chip lead and is heads up for his fourth WSOP Circuit gold ring. If he can close out the tournament with a victory it would be his fourth career WSOP Circuit gold ring since December of 2014. Stewart's heads up opponent is Ralph Kellagher. Stewart currently has Kellagher out chipped 4:1.

Entering today's six max final table with the chip lead is Ralph Kellagher. Kellagher has been in this position before. In 2013, Kellagher finished runner up in the six max event here at Harveys Lake Tahoe. Today he will be looking to improve on his runner-up finish to take down his first career WSOP Circuit gold ring. Day 2 action begins today at 2 p.m.

The tournament is now on the money bubble and hand-for-hand play has begun. Once one more player is lost, the three table redraw will be conducted and action will continue as normal.

Once the money is reached everyone will be guaranteed a minimum payday of $662.

Amazingly four players from yesterday's Event #2 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry final table are still in contention in the Six Max. Shawn Van Asdale (1st), Brett Murray (2nd), Joseph Brown (3rd) and Monte Young (9th) are all still alive and looking to make their second final tables of the series.

The prizepool for the six max event has been announced. The tournament drew 178 players generating a prizepool of $53,400. It is the largest tournament up to this point of the series, excluding the re-entry event. The top finisher will earn $14,953, a WSOP Circuit gold ring and 50 Casino Championship points. The top 18 spots are slated to be paid with 18th place earning $662.

The new gold ring event today is the prestigious six max event. The six max tournament is always one of the toughest tournaments to win on the Circuit. It also provides some of the best action on the Circuit. Here is a look at the tournament details.

Event #5 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em Six Max - Day 1 - 11 a.m.

• Players begins with 10,000 chips
• Blinds begin at 25/50
• Registration remains open until the beginning of Level 9 (~3:30 p.m.)
• Re-entry is not allowed
• The entire tournament will be played six-handed
  
• Level 1-12 are 30 minutes long, levels 13-21 are 40 minutes long and levels 22+ are 50 minutes long
• There is a one hour dinner break after Level 12 (~5:45 p.m.)
• Day 1 is scheduled to last 21 levels
• This is a two-day tournament. Day 2 begins Tuesday at 2 p.m.
