EVENT UPDATE

Six Max Final Table

The final table for the six max event has just been reached and it's stacked with talented players. The final six players are guaranteed a minimum payday of $2,465. The eventual champion will earn $14,953, a WSOP Circuit gold ring and 50 Casino Championship points.

Shortly after Steve Foutty took the lead in the Casino Championship from his victory in Event #4 he may lose it, because Craig Gold is at his second final table of the series and can pass Foutty with a victory in this event. He has a lot of work to do though, as he is coming into the final table as the shortest stack and has less than 10 big blinds. Gold finished in 7th place in the opening event of the series and 40th place in the second event of the series.

Joining Gold at the final table is three-time gold ring winner, Scott Stewart. Stewart is the chip leader entering the final table. He won his first gold ring last December at Harrah's California and has been on a roll ever since.

Also at the final table is Dan Stir and Ralph Kellagher. Stir is a short stack and only has 12 big blinds. Stir finished in 5th place in the Harveys Lake Tahoe Main Event last year. Kellagher, who sits third in chips, finished runner-up in the Tahoe six max event in 2013.

Here is a look at the final table seating assignments and chip counts:

Seat 1: Ralph Kellagher - 472,000 (59 BBs)
Seat 2: Julie Parker - 151,000 (18 BBs)
Seat 3: Spencer Bennett - 475,000 (59 BBs)
Seat 4: Scott Stewart - 568,000 (71 BBs)
Seat 5: Craig Gold - 78,000 (9 BBs)
Seat 6: Dan Stir - 100,000 (12 BBs)

- 20 minutes remain in Level 20: 4,000/8,000 with a 1,000 ante

Play is scheduled to last through Level 21 tonight before players bag. Day 2 will begin tomorrow at 2 p.m. and continue until a winner is reached.
