Event #8: $1,600 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event

Jared Kenworthy has doubled up again, this time he was all in fr 3,950,000, and he is now close to Kurt Jewell in chips.

Kenworthy got it all in on a 9 5 2 flop with J 9 in the hole and Jewell held 9 8. The turn and fell 7 and 5 and Kenworthy won the hand.

The players are on a 10-minute break.

Neither player in the heads-up match has been able to gain too much traction. Kurt Jewell holds a solid chip lead with 12,550,000 but the pots have seesawed back and forth between the two opponents for a while now and Jared Kenworthy is still kicking with 5 million.

The blinds are now 100,000-200,000 with a 30,000 ante for the start of level 35.

William Reynolds got the last of his chips into the middle preflop (4,045,000). Kurt Jewell made the call. Their cards:

Reynolds won the hand to double up to 8.2 million and Jewell fell to 4.9 million after the hand.

Kurt Jewell raised to 380,000 preflop on the cutoff and Edwin Choi reraised all in for 2,850,000 from the button. Jared Kenworthy went into the tank and decided to make the all-in call for 2,150,000. Jewell mucked and the two live players flipped over their cards:

Kenworthy won the hand to double up to 4.5 million and Choi was crippled with just 700,000 after the hand.

Kurt Jewell raised preflop from the button only to be reraised all in by Edwin Choi for 1.15 million on the small blind. Jewell made the call. Their cards:

Choi: 8 8

Board: A 7 6 J 2

Choi doubled up and he now holds 2.7 million. Jewell dropped down to 8.4 million after paying off another opponent, but he still has a comfortable chip lead.

Edwin Choi limped under the gun preflop and William Reynolds raised all in for 860,000 on the button. Choi went into the tank for a long time and eventually made the call. Their cards:

Reynolds doubled up on the hand and he now has 2 million.

Kurt Jewell raised 240,000 preflop and Edwin Choi reraised to 625,000. Jewell eventually made the call and then both players checked the 9 8 7 on the flop. The Q fell on the turn and Choi bet 500,000. Jewell went into the tank and then made the call.

The river brought the J and Choi moved all in. Jewell took another dip in the tank but this time decided not to call. Choi flipped over K 4 as he collected the pot.
