Level 3 Concludes Early, Players on 90-Minute Dinner Break

The third level of Day 1B is in the books. Players are now on a 90-minute dinner break. Tournament staff sent the players on a 90-minute dinner break nine minutes early due to flash flood warnings in the Las Vegas area.

Level 3 was filled with excitement as players returned to the tournament felt for play at the 150/300 level. Adil Khan was spotted in Pavilion with a sizable stack of approximately 130,000 roughly halfway through the level. As the level progressed, Khan dipped a bit, but still retained the chip lead. Khan closed out the level with 110,300 in chips.

Three-time WSOP bracelet winner Dominik Nitsche has had a stellar summer. With six cashes and one final table appearance, Nistche has racked up over $241,000 in tournament cashes. During the third level of play, Nitsche scooped up a sizable pot after flopping a set of queens that turned into a full house by the turn. Nitsche is looking to add cash number seven to summer with a deep run in the Main Event. He finished the third level of play with 89,375 in chip counts.

Brian Hastings, who claimed two of the 68 bracelets offered on the 2015 WSOP schedule, had a stellar level. Early on, Hastings was knocked down to just about 7,500 in chips. He was able to turn that around quite quickly, however, to take 64,700 into dinner. A key moment for Hastings came after he turned the nut straight against an opponent's flopped straight. All of the money went in on the river and Hastings was able double up.

Level 1 chip leader Thomas Muehloecker lost some of his stack during this level, but still sits on a sizable stack of 84,000. Other notable big stacks to close the level include Edward Grau (103,000), Jason Senti (80,300), and Brian Rast (75,300).

Kristen Bicknell was eliminated late in the level at the hands of Matt Zoorob. Bicknell was ahead when the money went in with her flopped straight against Zoorob's flopped set. The board paired on the river, however, and Zoorob was able to earn the knockout and finish the level with 103,300. Other notable eliminations from this level include Bernard Lee, Nick Maimone, Barry Hutter, Eric Baldwin, and Steve O'Dwyer.

Play will resume in 90-minutes with the final nine minutes of this level.
