Ismael Bojang Leads Remaining 285 Players After Day 1

Ismael Bojang leading the way

Day 1 of Event #51 took place over ten one-hour levels today and by the end of play, just 285 (of 1,043) remain. Likely chip leader of those survivors is German player, Isamael Bojang who bagged up 181,900. Bojang has already enjoyed a hugely successful 2015 WSOP so far, cashing four times (including two final tables) for combined winnings of $182,601.

Bojang is in great shape to add to that total but there are an awful lot of talented players still in the hunt on Day 2. Some of them include: Dong Guo (157,200), Ami Barer (105,500), Stephen Chidwick (88,400), Shannon Shorr (80,600), Timothy Adams (106,000), Sam Razavi (119,300), Marty “kidsally” Salowitz (166,800), John Gale (122,700) and a certain Phil Hellmuth (61,300).

Play will resume tomorrow at 1pm PDT and will go for 10 more levels. Stay tuned to WSOP.com for all of the updates as the march toward the bracelet continues.
