Idema Gets In Aces vs. Aces, Doubles Up
It's been a good summer to be Daniel Idema. Last week, he won his third WSOP bracelet when he took down the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E event, earning $261,774 in the process. He bagged an average stack in this event today, and was just on the right side of a preflop battle to double up.
Idema and Cheng Liu get in a raising war preflop that sees all of Idema's 52,000 stack get into the middle. Idema holds , and he is up against Liu's . Both players have aces, but Liu holds the edge due to his multiple flush draws. However, the board runs down , giving Idema the winning nut flush. Idema's table mate Erick Lindgren makes a comment about how good he is running, and Idema simply cracks a smile as the chips are sent his way.
