$1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Gets Underway at Noon!
It's time for the first non-turbo $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em tournament of the 2015 WSOP! Last year, this was the 4th event on the schedule, and it was taken down by WSOP Circuit grinder Kyle Cartwright, who bested a field of 2,224 players to take home a first place prize of $360,435. Before he won the event, Cartwright promised that if he won, he would buy his roommates Chipotle for the summer. Well they surely made good on that promise after his incredible victory!
Cartwright dealt with some stiff competition when it got down to just two tables. Amongst the list of tough opponents were Ylon Schwartz (3rd), Matthew O'Donnell (5th), Jeff Gross (13th), Michael Katz (14th), and Tom Koral (16th).
The plan today is to play 11 levels, with the players bagging up around 1:45-2 AM tonight. They will return tomorrow at 1 PM to play 10 more levels. Stay tuned for updates all day long from this action packed event, and good luck players!
