David Tuthill Defeats AP Phahurat to Win the Caesars Palace Las Vegas Circuit Event
Blinds: 60,000/120,000 ante 10,000
David Tuthill raises to 250,000 on the button and AP Phahurat reraises to 600,000 out of the big blind. Tuthill calls and the flop comes . Phahurat bets 450,000 and Tuthill raises to 975,000.
Phahurat asks Tuthill, "Do you want to go home?" He then moves all-in and Tuthill quickly calls.
Tuthill shows for a queen high flush draw, and Phahurat needs help with his for a smaller flush draw. The on the turn takes away any pair outs for Phahurat and, with the on the river, Tuthill takes the pot, the Ring, and the first place payday of $223,197.
David Tuthill also earns a seat into the 2013 WSOP National Championship presented by Southern Comfort 100 Proof at Harrah's New Orleans from May 21-23.
Phahurat earns a well-deserved $137,603 for his second place finish.
