Pedro Aldave Defeats Marin Ryan to Win Event #1
Martin Ryan and Pedro Aldave (pictured above) played the biggest pot of the tournament on the final hand, starting with a raise from Aldave on the button and a call from Ryan in the big blind.
There was another bet and a call after the flop, and the rest of the money went in after the turn. Ryan was on the draw with , while Aldave's had him one card from the title. The river was the blank , and Aldvae's victory was secure, locking up the ring and the top prize of $30,574.
Ryan (below) was eliminated as the runner-up, denied what would have been a fourth ring and forced to settle for an $18,903 consolation prize.
