EVENT UPDATE

Day 1 Is Complete

END OF DAY 1

A relatively small field of 73 players made up the single, Pot-Limit Omaha ring event of the series. These entrants took to the felt, battled for many hours, and are now down to the final five players. Julian Galvan is the current chip leader. Galvan came ever-so close to claiming a gold ring here at Harvey's Lake Tahoe during the 2015/16 tour, when he landed as the runner-up of Event #4: No-Limit Hold'em. He will look to accomplish what he missed out on nearly a year ago. However, four others seek the same achievement.

Play is set to resume at 2:00 pm on Friday.

Here is a breakdown of the chip count standings:

Chip Leader: Julian Galvan - 237,000 (39 bbs)
2nd in Chips: Brad Miller - 203,000 (33 bbs)
3rd in Chips: Kindah Sakkal - 147,000 (24 bbs)
4th in Chips: Chad Delanzo - 88,000 (14 bbs)
Short Stack: Paul Hendee - 56,000 (9 bbs)

- Play will begin at Level 17 with blinds at 3,000/6,000
