Carli Claims a Long Awaited, Third Gold Ring
Doug "Rico" Carli (pictured) has won Event #4: $365 No-Limit Hold'em (30 Minute Levels) here at the 2016 IP Biloxi Circuit. The World Series of Poker veteran navigated through a field of 110 players to claim his third WSOP gold ring, which, for him, was a long time coming. Carli won his last Circuit gold ring in early April of 2007. This long stretch without a first place finish was certainly not from lack of playing, or cashing, for that matter.
This marks Carli's 109th Circuit cash and an incredible 147th WSOP cash. This win only extends Carli's overall WSOP cash lead. Along with his new hardware, he claimed a top-prize of $9,901 and 50 Casino Championship points.
