Event #1 Draws 2,211 Entries; Winner Pockets Six Figs and Gold Bling
The last of three starting flights in Event #1, a $365 re-entry tournament with nine $1,675 Main Event seats added, drew an even 1,000 entries growing the total field to 2,211. The prize pool topped out at $663,300 and pays the top 225 finishers at least $716. Payouts escalate from there before climaxing in a $101,190 first prize. In addition, the tournament's champion earns a WSOP Circuit gold ring and 50 points toward the Casino Championship.

The Flight C clock currently reads 420 players remaining toward the end of Level 10. Colossus bracelet winner Cord Garcia, WPT champion Ravi Raghavan, traveling dealer Patrick McAnulty and Chicago pro Ralph Massey are among those still in contention.
Today's schedule is slated for five more levels of play before action concludes at about 9:30 p.m. CT. At that time, those still alive bag and tag set to the join the 150 Flight A and B advancers for Day 2 tomorrow at 2 p.m
