Seth Palansky - WSOP.com Editor-In-Chief

Seth Palansky

The World Series of Poker's official website, WSOP.com has been under its parent company's editorial control since October, 2009, when Seth Palansky became the website's first Editor-In-Chief.

Palansky, who had been with the WSOP's parent company, Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc. (CIE) since its inception in May, 2009, took over the reins of the website from previous editorial provider, Bluff Magazine, who managed the site from 2006-2009.

Palansky is responsible for the editorial content of the website, plus all staffing and budget decisions.

WSOP.com has grown to become more than just a reliable tournament results database. It is considered one of the leading news and information sites in the poker industry, offering well-written and informative articles and interviews, live web streaming of poker's most prestigious tournaments, plus video interviews, a vast array of photographs and up-to-date leaderboards on current WSOP events.

With a deep bench of contributors, including Nolan Dalla, the foremost historian and author of poker as its senior writer, plus former Bluff Magazine Managing Editor and WPT live tournament reporter Jessica Welman working as WSOP.com's Managing Editor, Palansky has assembled a team of credentialed, credible and creative staffers to ensure WSOP.com remains the top destination for readers who seek news and information related to tournament poker.

With the annual World Series of Poker tournament over seven weeks each summer in Las Vegas, the 20-stop WSOP Circuit Tour across the U.S. and Canada from August to May each year, plus international tournament stops in Europe, Australia and Asia, WSOP.com provides fresh, original content to readers 350 days a year.

With more than two decades at the cross-section of sports and entertainment, Palansky has worked with or for media companies throughout his career. He came to CIE from the National Football League (NFL), where he was the first employee of the league's foray into cable television ownership, NFL Network. Palansky spent five years with the NFL where he oversaw the network's communications department and also worked in the league's Communications Department handling media relations-related activities regarding its media assets, including television, radio, satellite radio and internet. Palansky worked in both the league's New York corporate office and its Los Angeles based television production studio.

Prior to his time at the NFL, Palansky worked at News Corp., for the Fox Sports Network cable division, where he oversaw national programming publicity for Fox's 21 owned and operated regional sports networks.

Palansky holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and works out of the CIE corporate office in Las Vegas, Nevada.
