TURNING STONE CIRUIT PREVIEW

The World Series of Poker Circuit returns to Verona, NY, on Thursday, featuring 18 ring events and over $2 Million in guarantees.

Las Vegas, Nevada (March 12, 2024) - The World Series of Poker Circuit returns to Verona, NY, for twelve days of poker action at the Turning Stone Resort Casino between March 14 - 25.

The Turning Stone series is relatively fresh on the Circuit schedule but has already grown to be one of the premier stops of the WSOP Circuit by consistently putting on events with seven-figure prizepools. A similar turnout is expected this time around, with $2 million in total guarantees across 18 ring events.

The series kicks off on Thursday, with Event #1: $400 No-Limit Hold'em Double Stack followed by the four-flight $400 No-Limit Hold'em. The second event of the series drew a whopping 2,616 entries last year, with the winner Timothy Russ taking home $116,971.

As always, the schedule includes two Senior Events (March 17 & 24) and one Ladies Event (March 22). Other highlights on the schedule are the $600 Black Chip Bounty (March 17), the $2,200 Purple Chip Bounty (March 24), and, of course, the $1,700 Main Event (March 21).

The Main Event begins on Thursday, March 21, with Flight A starting at 11 AM, followed by Flight B on Friday with the same start time. The third and final Flight will begin on Saturday. Players are allowed to re-enter once per flight. A prize pool of $1,000,000 is guaranteed for the Main Event and the winner will most likely be walking away with a six-figure payday, a Circuit gold ring, as well as an automatic bid to the 2024 Tournament of Champions.

Last year, the Turning Stone Main Event drew a massive field of 1,070 entries, generating a total prize pool of $1,621,050. Six-time bracelet winner Shaun Deeb made the trip back to his home casino to take it down that time, and has announced that he will return next week to defend his title.

WSOP's official Circuit Media Partner, Poker.org, will provide coverage of the full series with end-of-night chip count reports, interviews, highlights of big hands, and much more. Make sure to follow Poker.org on Twitter (@pokerorg) and Instagram (@poker_org_) not to miss any of the action.

All official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the invitation-only “Tournament of Champions”, held at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, CA, at the end of the 2023/24 Circuit season. 2024 Online winners will also be eligible to compete in the prestigious event.
