THE WORLD SERIES OF POKERĀ® RELEASES INITIAL DATES FOR 2024-25 WSOP CIRCUIT SCHEDULE

The WSOP® Circuit returns for a 20th installment, with 18 scheduled stops and additional dates to be announced.

LAS VEGAS (July 1, 2024) – The World Series of Poker (WSOP) today announced the return of its WSOP Circuit (WSOP-C), featuring 18 stops both domestic and international, that run through the end of the calendar year. The highly anticipated regional poker tour returns for its 20th season beginning Wednesday, July 19 at Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma, immediately following the conclusion of the 2024 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Additional dates for 2025 will be announced later this fall on WSOP.com.

The highly coveted $1 million freeroll returns, featuring a similar format as the 2023-24 season. Kicking off with the Choctaw Circuit Event, official WSOP gold ring winners from either the live or online circuit events through May 2025 will qualify for the invitation-only “Tournament of Champions” event, whose location will be announced at a later date.

Harrah’s Cherokee will be the second stop on the Circuit, beginning on Thursday, Aug. 1 with the first half of the tour continuing virtually nonstop until Harrah’s Cherokee returns on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28 and runs until Dec. 9, 2024. While many familiar venues will return for the 2024-25 slate, one new stop will be The Commerce Casino in Los Angeles with WSOP-C action taking place from Nov. 14 to Nov. 25, 2024. The Commerce previously hosted the Tournament of Champions in May 2024.

The international tour will kick off with Tallinn, Estonia at Olympic Park Casino on July 19-28 and continue through Italy’s Casino Sanremo on Nov. 1 to Nov. 11.

“Quietly, the WSOP Circuit is far and away the biggest poker tour in the world,” said Ty Stewart, SVP & Executive Director of the World Series of Poker. “It’s time to shout about the great events that bring the excitement and prestige of the WSOP to our regional properties. This slate of domestic and international events rounds out 2024 in a momentous way, and we look forward to building on this list of dates and venues for 2025 soon.”

Most Circuit stops will begin on Thursdays, with the four-day Main Events beginning on the second Friday of the tournament. Every stop is encouraged to add Seniors and Ladies events, where the winners will qualify to participate in the “Tournament of Champions.” Additionally, most WSOP-C stops will feature standardized tournament structures and payouts, ensuring players traveling to multiple stops will be treated in a consistent manner at every event, barring any regulatory or local law differences.

All stops will release their series’ event schedules upon approval by their local regulatory body, with the guarantee that every stop will offer at least a dozen official WSOP gold ring events starting with $250 buy-in levels and will include a $1,700 Main Event (buy-ins vary for international locations). WSOP Online Circuit events on WSOP.COM will be scheduled monthly.

ABOUT THE WSOP CIRCUIT

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Events are a series of poker tournaments hosted throughout the United States and worldwide. Every year, the Circuit begins in late July and culminates the following June with the $1,000,000 Tournament of Champions, where a WSOP gold bracelet is on the line. WSOP U.S. Circuit Events are designed to give the recreational and amateur player an opportunity to partake in the WSOP experience at a more affordable price point and less of a time commitment than the traditional WSOP in Las Vegas. Stops on the WSOP Circuit typically feature at least 12 official events across two weekends, including a $1,700 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Main Event. Official WSOP Circuit events buy-ins range from $250-$5,300 and award a prestigious WSOP gold ring to each victor. These tournaments are designed to reach a winner within two playing days, with some events even structured to be completed in one day.

All ring winners from each stop gain automatic entry into the season-ending WSOP Tournament of Champions. Players who finish within the top 15 percent of the field are typically awarded prize money on an escalating scale until there is one player who has captured all the chips. That victor wins the largest share of the prize pool, a WSOP Circuit gold ring and entry into the Tournament of Champions. WSOP Circuit Events are a regional and international offshoot of the longest-running, largest, richest and most prestigious gaming event in the world, dating back to 1970 – the famous World Series of Poker. This marks the 20th year the WSOP Circuit Events have been held, as they were initially established by Caesars Entertainment (then Harrah’s Entertainment) after its purchase of the WSOP brand in 2004. In the inaugural season (2004-05), the WSOP Circuit featured five stops – Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, San Diego and New Orleans. Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc., (CIE) owns the WSOP and the WSOP Circuit Events. Visit us at https://www.lnmandiya.com/2024/circuit/ or on X.
