HARRAH

Las Vegas, Nevada (February 13, 2024) - The World Series of Poker is coming back to the Circuit powerhouse, Harrah's Cherokee on Thursday.

Located in the scenic mountains of North Carolina, Cherokee has grown to be the largest stop of the WSOP Circuit, holding numerous records on the Mid-Major poker scene. With that in mind, expectations are high when the Circuit returns to Cherokee with a full slate of poker action between February 15 and 26, featuring 19 ring events and over $4,5 million in guarantees.

The series gets underway on Thursday, February 15, with the $400 No-Limit Hold'em 30K Opener and Event #2: $400 No-Limit Hold'em. The second event of the series is a four-flight affair with a large $750,000 guarantee. Last year, the same event drew a whopping 3,120 entries for a total prizepool of $1,029,600, and a similar field is expected this time around.

There are two Seniors Events (Feb 18 & 23), and one Ladies Event (Feb 23) on the schedule. Other highlights include the $400 Monster Stack (Feb 20), the $2,200 High Roller (Feb 25), and the marquee event of the series - the $1,700 MAIN EVENT.

The $1,700 Main Event has a massive $1,5 Million guarantee and will consist of two starting flights. Flight A is starting at 11:00 AM on February 23, and Flight B will have cards in the air at the same time the following day.

The last Main Event in Cherokee attracted no less than 1,470 entries, generating a total prizepool of $2,227,050. Pittsburgh's Joe Crowley ended up taking it down to earn $348,785 and will sit as the reigning champ until this year's Main Event concludes on the last day of the series, Monday, February 26.

WSOP's official Circuit Media Partner, Poker.org, will provide coverage of the full series with end-of-night chip count reports, interviews, highlights of big hands, and much more. Make sure to follow Poker.org on Twitter (@pokerorg) and Instagram (@poker_org_) to not miss any of the action.

All official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the invitation-only “Tournament of Champions”, held at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, CA, at the end of the 2023/24 Circuit season. 2024 Online winners will also be eligible to compete in the prestigious event.
