HORSESHOE HAMMOND CIRCUIT PREVIEW

 The World Series of Poker returns to Horseshoe Hammond after a three-year hiatus.

Las Vegas, Nevada (20 February 2023) - The World Series of Poker Circuit is in full swing, with ring events currently running in both Cherokee and Las Vegas. However, this article will highlight another property, as the Horseshoe Hammond will make a much anticipated return on the Circuit schedule after a three-year hiatus.

The Circuit series in Hammond, Indiana, will run between February 23 - March 6, featuring 14 ring events and over $2 Million in guarantees. The series will start out strong, with a $400 No-Limit Hold'em event on the opening day, Thursday February 23. The event has five starting flights, and the prize pool is boosted with a whopping $500,000 guarantee. 

The popular mystery bounty format will make an appearance on the opening weekend, with Event #4: $600 No-Limit Hold'em Mystery Bounty starting Sunday, February 26 at 2 PM. Each player that advances with chips to Day 2 will be designated as a Mystery Bounty an the bounties will range in value from $50 to $10,000, and will also include a $1,700 Circuit Main Event seat.

Other highlights on the Hammond Circuit schedule include the $400 Omaha 8 (Feb 27), $2,200 High Roller (March 5), and the $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event

The much anticipated Main Event features a $1 Million guarantee, and a large field is to be expected at the marquee event of the series. Last time the Circuit was in town, the Main Event attracted a field of 1,063 players generating a total prize pool of $1,610,445. Ravi Raghavan took it down that time and will serve as the reigning champ until this year's Main Event concludes, Monday, March 6. 

All official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the invitation-only “Tournament of Champions”. The $1 million freeroll event will be held during the 2023 World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. 2023 Online winners will also be eligible to compete in the signature event.
