Las Vegas, Nevada (February 7, 2023) - The World Series of Poker returns to Las Vegas for the first-ever Circuit at the newly rebranded Horseshoe Las Vegas.
A significant player pool is expected to attend the Horseshoe Circuit, with the poker community buzzing with excitement as the schedule for the much anticipated 54th Annual World Series of Poker was released last week.
To build on the momentum from the release of the summer schedule, the property has put together an action-packed Circuit series, featuring no less than 18 ring events and a $500,000 MAIN EVENT guarantee. To top things off, a $400 Mega Satellite will run on February 23rd to give players a chance to win seats to the $10,000 WSOP MAIN EVENT No-Hold'em World Championship.
The series will kick off with a two-flight $400 No-Limit Hold'em event, starting at 10 AM on Thursday, February 9th. The event is scheduled to be a two-day affair, with Flight B on Friday, followed by Day 2 on Saturday.
The Mixed Game enthusiasts will have to circle February 15th, and February 16th as the series' two Mixed Game events get underway. The $400 Omaha/Stud 8 or Better will have cards in the air at 4 PM, February 15th, followed by the $400 H.O.R.S.E. the following day.
Other highlights on the schedule include the $2,200 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller, the $1,125 Mystery Bounty, and, of course, the $1,700 MAIN EVENT.
The marquee event of the series is a three-day tournament spread over three starting flights. Flight A will have cards in the air on Friday, February 17th, at 10 AM, followed by Flight B and C the two following days. The event is boosted with a $500,000 guarantee, and a large starting field is to be expected. The reigning Las Vegas Circuit champion is Italy's Andrea Buonocore, who took down the Bally's Las Vegas Circuit Main Event last year to earn $143,229 and his first gold ring.
On top of the eighteen ring events, the satellites on the schedule should not be overlooked. Players who want to take the cheaper route to the $1,700 Main Event can enter the $250 Mega Satellites on February 18th and February 19th - both with one seat guaranteed. The series will conclude with a $400 Mega Satellite to the $10,000 WSOP MAIN EVENT World Championship. The Main Event satellite will have cards in the air at 4 PM on Thursday, February 23rd.
Every event winner at the Horseshoe Las Vegas Circuit will earn a seat in the invitation-only, Tournament of Champions. The $1,000,000 freeroll event will be held during the 2023 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. 2023 online winners will also be eligible to compete in the new freeroll format.
