RECORD-BREAKING FIELDS IN ARUBA CIRCUIT, MAIN EVENT BEGINS FRIDAY

Oranjestad, Aruba (28 September 2022) - The World Series of Poker Circuit is back on Aruba for the first time this Circuit season, with 14 gold rings being awarded between September 22nd to October 2nd. The players has been lining up to play during first half of the series, with six rings yet to be awarded.

The tricky travel arrangements to the paradise island makes the Circuit stop at Hilton Aruba one of the smaller on the Circuit schedule, but the stop has been increasing every year since it got put on the schedule - and this time is no exception.

The second event of the series, $400 No-Limit Hold'em, drew a field of 308 entrants - a 38% increase from last year's entry field of 191. The strong start of series continued with a record-breaking entry field in Event #8: $300 No-Limit Hold'em. The event attracted 203 entrants, a number that had never been reached in a one-day event on Aruba. The very next day, the entry record was broken once again, as the $400 Monster Stack attracted a massive field of 320 players.

Eight rings have been awarded so far, with two of them going to Connecticut's Loren Azimov. Azimov started by taking down the $300 No-Limit Hold'em event, and followed that up by capturing a second ring the very next day in the $300 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo.
