CLINKSCALES WINS SECOND RING AT HARVEY

For the first time since 2019, the World Series of Poker Circuit is back in beautiful South Lake Tahoe at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe for a full slate of 16 ring events on them, with 7 of them in the books already.

Plenty of notables have been spotted in the Harvey’s poker room through the first week of events. Among them are WSOP Circuit ring winner Rex Clinkscales, who picked up his second piece of WSOP jewelry with a win in Event # 3, $400 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed for just under $15,000 and his second ring.

Ken Baime, who is coming off a deep run in the WSOP Main Event this summer where he finished 46th for $176,200, also made a deep run this week in Event #6: $600 No-Limit Hold’em Mystery Bounty, finishing 3rd for $7,879.

The highlight of the series begins on Thursday, October 27th with the opening flight of the $1,700 Main Event. The event will see three opening flights Thursday through Saturday at 11 a.m. Day 2 will see the survivors of those flights combine to play down to a final table on Sunday, with the final table on Monday October 31st at noon.

Since the event hasn’t been back to Harvey’s Lake Tahoe since 2019, Michael Pearson remains the defending Main Event champion, having taken down the title then for $133,285, defeating a field of 424 entries. The San Francisco resident is also the 2016 Lake Tahoe Main Event.

Any official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the new invitation-only “Tournament of Champions”. The $1 million freeroll event will be held during the 2023 World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. 2022/23 online and live bracelet winners will also be eligible to compete in the new signature event.
