THE RUTURN TO CHOCTAW HAS SEEN FIVE PLAYERS SECURE GOLD FOR THE FIRST TIME

Durant, Oklahoma (10 November 2022) - The World Series of Poker Circuit is back at Choctaw for the second time this Circuit season, with 16 gold rings awarded between November 1st - 13th.

 

Action kicked-off just a day after all hallows eve, as ten players have already claimed gold, with six yet to be awarded.


The series started out by giving seniors the first shot at gold, while the largest field of the series thus far came in third event, $400 No-Limit Hold'em Gargantuan, as it drew a massive 1,025 entrants.


Only half of the rings awarded have gone to first time winners, while Jacob Seale, Marsha Adams, John Holley, Schuyler Thornton, and Curtis Terry all added more WSOP hardware to their collection.

There're still six events yet to be played before the series concludes this Sunday, with the $1,700 MAIN EVENT starting Friday, November 11th, at noon. 


The marquee event of this series boasts a $1,000,000 guarantee, and players will have the option to play in two starting flights, with the second being held on Saturday, November 12th, at noon.


Reigning Choctaw Main Event Champ Daniel Marx earned his first WSOP ring after he navigated his way through 931 Main Event entries this past July, marking his largest WSOP cash. 


Any official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the new invitation-only “Tournament of Champions”. The $1 million freeroll event will be held during the 2023 World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. 2022/23 online and live bracelet winners will also be eligible to compete in the new signature event.
