WSOP Circuit stop at Hard Rock Tulsa offers a total of 16 rings
March 11, 2019 (Tulsa, Oklahoma) - The World Series of Poker Circuit returns this Wednesday to Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa for 13 busy days of Circuit ring action.
Sixteen rings will be awarded over the course of the series, with 13 official Casino Championship points-earning event rings, complemented by three more to be awarded in popular Seniors and Ladies events. It all gets underway at 11 am Wednesday morning with the start of Event #1, $400 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack, a two-day event.
The Monster Stack is just the start, as this Circuit stop is sure to draw big crowds early in its run. Beginning on Thursday, March 14 is Event #2, $400 No-Limit Hold'em Big-Blind Ante, and then the rest of Thursday's, Friday's and Saturday's action is devoted to five separate starting flights in Event #3, $400 No-Limit Hold'em Multi-Flight. This event also offers a $500,000 prizepool guarantee.
It's not the only huge guaranteed prizepool being served up at Hard Rock Tulsa. This stop's main event, Event #10, $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em, anchors the series' second weekend. Starting flights are offered on Friday, March 22nd and Saturday, March 23rd, and at least a million dollars in prize money is guaranteed. Last March, Youngsville, Louisiana's Jonathan Poche topped 721-entry field to win $216,307 and his second career Circuit ring.
The high-rolling pros will have another shot at Circuit gold if their main event bids fall short. Circuit Hard Rock Tulsa's Event #13, $3,250 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller, begins on Sunday, March 24th. As is increasingly popular, this event will also feature the big-blind ante format.
The Circuit Hard Rock Tulsa stop features plenty of affordable poker play for smaller budgets as well. The rest of the 13-day slate includes events at both the $400 and $250 entry levels, including the stop's only non-hold'em offering, Event #9, $400 Pot-Limit Omaha, which begins on Thursday, March 21st. All three of this series' unofficial ring events -- two Seniors and one Ladies tourney -- are among the $250 entry-fee offerings. These three events are unofficial ring events due to their closed-field nature, but they're every bit as popular with eligible players.
The winner of this year's main event
and the series' overall Casino Champion both earn free seats into next year’s GlobalCasino Championship. That Casino Champion honor is awarded to the player who earns the most overall points in the stop's 13 points-earning ring events.
