July 15, 2019 (Las Vegas) - Taylor "Galactar" Paur is the winner of the $500 Online Bracelet Summer Saver.
Paur topped a field of 1,859 to win $149,241 and take home his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet.
The final table started around 2 a.m. and John “SquatCobbler” Parker held the chip lead.
Within the first few hands, Brian “Penny6” Mancilla shoved pocket sixes and Taylor “Galactar” Paur called with pocket jacks.
Mancilla couldn’t catch up and was eliminated in ninth place. He took home $11,210 for his fourth cash of the summer and his first final table appearance.
It was Timothy “Truthbetold7” Rutherford who fell in eighth place, taking home $14,556. This was also Rutherford’s fourth WSOP cash of the summer.
With seven players remaining it was Francois “4EverRekt” Evard with the chip lead. Parker and Paur were close behind. Paur, a bracelet winner with over $1-million in WSOP tournament winnings, was in a strong position with a solid chance to take home his second bracelet.
Joseph “Obamacare” Hanrahan got his last fifteen or so big blinds in against Jason “JadedJames” James, who held pocket kings. He held to send Hanrahan home in seventh place. This was Hanrahan’s first final table appearance on his fifth all-time cash. He took home $19,241.
Parker now moved into the chip lead with six left. Evard and Parker passed the lead back and forth with Paur just behind them.
Evard took a slightly larger lead when he eliminated David “SobBaget” Liebeman in sixth place. This was Liebman’s first-ever WSOP cash and first-ever final table. He takes home $25,598.
The chip stacks evened out a bit as Satish “Jfksbh” Surapaneni doubled a couple times, but Evard still held a slight lead.
Evard jumped out to a big lead when he got all in on the flop with a flush draw against James’ pair of sevens. James had defended the big blind and check-raised the flop to get all in. He could not hold and Evard sent him home in fifth place with $34,550.
Parker then double through Evard to take the chip lead with four remaining. Paur was firmly in second place. Evard and Parker played another huge pot blind versus blind. Parker was in the small blind and Parker raised to all in. Evard called and won the hand, and the two exchanged the lead once again.
Paur made a flush on the turn against Parker to eliminate him in fourth place. The two were all in on the flop. Parker had top pair, Paur bottom pair with a flush draw. Paur check-raised to get the stacks in, with Parker at risk. He was eliminated on the turn when Paur’s flush came in.
Paur now had a 5-million chip lead over Evard with Surapaneni in third position well behind his opponents.
Paur would knock out Surapaneni after a raise and a Surapaneni shove. Paur called with twos and flopped a set. He turned a full house to eliminate the remaining outs of Surapaneni and send him home in third place with $65,251.
This was Surapaneni’s first WSOP cash and his first final table as well. Paur held a two-to-one chip lead going into heads up.
Paur took a four-to-one chip lead during heads up. After about 30 minutes, Evard closed the gap, working his way to a 7-million chip deficit. He then flopped broadway and bridged the gap to less than 2-million.
A few hands later, Evard couldn’t be stopped and he won several hands in a row. He was now holding a three-to-one chip lead. On his way to possibly winning his first WSOP bracelet.
Paur needed a spade on the river to double up and was only slightly behind after that. Paur then retook the lead and had Evard on the ropes before a quick double.
Paur finally took the title after several all ins and even a chop. Paur claimed his second WSOP bracelet on his 53rd cash. This was his eighth final table. He now has $1,753,403 in WSOP tournament winnings.
