WSOP Circuit series returns to South Florida with 14-event series
February 5, 2019 (Coconut Creek, FL) - The World Series of Poker Circuit returns Thursday at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, northwest of Miami, Florida, for 12 busy days of Circuit ring action.
Fourteen rings will be awarded over the series' 12-day run, with 13 official Casino Championship points-earning events, plus the popular Seniors event on the stop's second weekend. Thursday's opening day is devoted to Event #1, $400 No-Limit Hold'em, with at least $50,000 in prize money awarded by the end of the night.
From there, it's on the first weekend's centerpiece: Event #2, $400 No-Limit Hold'em. This event features four separate starting flights split across Friday and Saturday, with the survivors gathered for Sunday's Day 2. At least $300,000 will be awarded in this event.
A solid assortment of poker formats, one- or two-day offerings, and entry fees swells out the center portion of the Circuit Coconut Creek slate. The mid-week highlights includes Wednesday's Event #8: $400 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack, a two-day event also offering its own $100,000 guarantee. Yet that just kicks off the heart of the Coconut Creek stop. On Thursday, the two-day Event #10: $3,250 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller gets underway, offering another $100,000 or more in prize money.
Then comes Friday and the start of the WSOP Circuit Coconut Creek main event: Event #11, $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em, offers two separate starting flights. Flight 11A starts at 11 am on Friday, February 15, while Flight 11B begins at noon on Saturday, February 16. Last year, Jamaica, New York's Kammar Andries topped a 827-player field to win the championship ring and $241,898.
The winner of this year's main event
and the series' overall Casino Champion both earn free seats into next year’s GlobalCasino Championship. That Casino Champion honor is awarded to the player who earns the most overall points in the stop's 12 points-earning ring events.
