ASHER CONNIFF LEADS BALLY

Las Vegas, 3/31/2019 -- Asher Conniff started Day 2 just outside the top-20, but after ten levels of play at Bally's Las Vegas, Conniff bagged the chip lead (3,030,000) entering the third and final day of play on Monday. Conniff, seeking his first WSOP Circuit Ring, is one of 12 players who survived to make Day 3.

Overall, there were a total of 117 players who returned for Day 2, but the final table was nearly reached as play concluded Sunday.

Entering Day 2, Justin Young and Ryan Olisar paced the field, but while Young has advanced to Day 3, Olisar bowed out in 26th. Young will begin Day 3 in second, but he's followed by a pair of Stanleys in Stanley Webb and Stanley Lee. Like Conniff, Webb will be seeking his first WSOP Circuit Ring, but Lee is hunting his second Circuit Ring here at Bally's Las Vegas. Lee has already won Event #5, a $400 No-Limit Hold'em event. The 12 remaining players in the field are guaranteed to make at least $14,419, but the first place prize of $193,147 looms large with the final table nearing. Visit the prizepool tab to view the remaining payouts.

The Day 2 field was littered with WSOP Bracelet and Circuit Ring winners. Among those who made the money included Rob Kuhn (13th), Chris Leong (22nd), Tony Dunst (27th), (Brian Yoon (31st), and Ankush Mandavia (61st). A full list of results can be viewed in the results tab.

But some notable names hit the exits early. Aaron Massey, Will Givens, Matt Affleck, Ari Engel, Scott Clements, Wendy Freedman, and Eddy Sabat were among those who busted out through the day.

Day 3 is scheduled to begin at noon on Monday and will continue until a winner is determined. Visit the reports tab to see complete seat assignments.
