Ring events run Thursday, September 13 through Monday, September 24
First of two stops this season in South Florida kicks off on Thursday morning with $400 no-limit hold'em
Coconut Creek, FL (September 12, 2018) - The first of two World Series of Poker Circuit stops at Seminole Casino in Coconnut Creek, Florida gets underway on Thursday morning. The stop features 12 ring events over the 12-day series and is the second-ever stop at the venue after making its Circuit debut last season.
The series runs from Thursday, September 13 through Monday, September 24 and will automatically qualify two players into next year’s Global Casino Championship. As with every Circuit stop on the schedule this year, the winner of the $1,700 main event and the Casino Champion for the stop will each be awarded seats into the bracelet event.
The Casino Champion crown will be awarded to the player who earns the most points throughout the series. Points can only be earned through cashing in ring events.
Action kicks off on Thursday at 11 a.m. with a $400 no-limit hold’em single day event with 30-minute levels, which leads into the stop’s $400 multi-flight unlimited re-entry event, which carries a $300,000 guaranteed prizepool.
The rest of the stop features no-limit hold’em events of varying buy-ins between $250 and the $2,200 no-limit hold’em high roller event.
The only non-hold’em event on the schedule is on Wednesday, September 19, when the $600 pot-limit Omaha event gets underway.
Aside from the aforementioned guarantee on the multi-flight re-entry, the stop features several large prize pool guarantees. There is a $50,000 guarantee on the opening event, the $1,125 no-limit hold’em, the $400 no-limit hold’em double stack turbo and the high roller. There is a $100,000 guarantee on the monster stack event and a $1,000,000 guarantee on the main event.
Last season, Kammar Andries took home $241,898, a Circuit ring and a seat into the GCC after defeating 827 entries in the main event.
