WSOP Circuit heads to Cherokee, North Carolina for second time this season.
Cherokee, N.C. (November 20, 2018) -- The World Series of Poker Circuit has successfully completed 9 of the 28 series thus far for the 2018-2019 season with the Planet Holloywood stop, in Las Vegas Nevada currently running. The eleventh series on the Circuit schedule will be held at Harrah's Cherokee in western North Carolina. It will be the second, WSOPC visit to Harrah's Cherokee this season, after kicking off the 2018/19 tour in back in August.
Action will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 22nd) with Flight A of Event #1: $400 NO-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry, which is scheduled as a four-day tournament. This opening event features four different starting flights and unlimited re-entry. The popular, multi-flight tournament drew a field of 2,661 entires at Harrah's Cherokee the first time around.
Event #1 also has a $500,000 guarantee attached to it. In fact, every gold ring event during the series, and there are 13 in total, will have its own respective prizepool guarantee. The largest of the bunch stems from the $1,700 Main Event, which has a $1,000,000 guarantee. The Main Event begins on Friday, November 30th and will conclude on Monday, December 3rd, bringing the Harrah's Cherokee Circuit to an end.
Round one at Harrah's Cherokee saw Adam Ross navigate through a field of 1,056 entrants to take down the Circuit Main Event title, claiming a debut WSOP gold ring and the first-place prize of $295,970.
The winner of the Main Event and the Casino Champion will earn a seat to the 2019 Global Casino Championship.
There they will compete for a minimum $1 million prizepool, as well as a
prestigious gold bracelet. To become the Casino Champion a player must
earn the most points at a given Circuit stop. Players
earn points based on how well they finish in a tournament. More
