Milwaukee, Wis. February 10, 2018 - Walter Puterbaugh (433,500) finished Day 1B atop the 54 remaining players who also bagged. After 15 levels, Puterbaugh is going to come in with the overall chip lead when Day 2 resumes at noon local time Sunday. Michael Crawford bagged the Day 1A chip lead with 321,000.
Day 1B drew 361 entries and saw some familiar faces fall short of Day 2. Chad Holloway, Allen Kessler, Janet Fitzgerald, Jeff Fielder, Craig Varnell, and Neil Scott all missed the cut.
Andy Philachack (375,000), Valentin Vornicu (298,000), Mike Ross (65,000), and Nick Pupillo (144,000) are some of the familiar faces that made it through to Day 2.
The WSOP Potawatami Main Event saw 604 (243 Day 1A) entries and 99 will return for Day 2. When these players join the remaining Day 1A field, they will be only 36 spots off the money and the $2,963 min-cash.
