2018 WSOP EUROPE SET FOR OCTOBER 9 - NOVEMBER 2

LAS VEGAS/ROZVADOV, Czech Republic – April 4, 2018 – After a hugely successful debut last Fall at our new home for WSOP Europe, the WSOP Europe will return to King’s Casino Rozvadov in 2018.

More than 25 million euros in prize money and 7,689 entrants competed in the 11-event series in 2017, making this WSOP Europe the richest poker tournament ever held in Europe.

Thus, dates have been locked in to make this an annual European event, with the 2018 WSOP Europe set to run from October 9 to November 2, again featuring 10 official WSOP gold bracelet events.

“By all measures, our inaugural WSOP Europe was a great success – even Allen Kessler was pleased,” said King’s Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik.  “Now that King’s Casino is firmly established as Europe’s most popular poker venue, we have doubled down and have made a bigger commitment to bring WSOP Europe to Rozvadov annually.”

Poker players continue to flock to King’s from all over Europe for good reason.  It offers a first class poker and player experience including a complimentary buffet.  With a broad renovation now complete, King’s has a hotel, more than 200 poker tables, with cash games and tournaments running 24/7.

“We have long searched for a great venue and host for WSOP Europe and we believe we’ve finally found it,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart.  “King’s Casino has been a terrific host and with their expansion complete, we’re pleased to commit to holding WSOP Europe annually each October in Rozvadov.”

Included in WSOP Europe events will be broad content distribution of the official gold bracelet events.  Each WSOP Europe Main Event will be filmed for television, with all other events receiving robust live reporting and live stream coverage.

King’s Casino Rozvadov is located in the Czech Republic, right near the German border, between Prague and Munich.  In fact, the location is right in Central Europe, giving all Europeans an easy travel destination to play poker.

Both King’s and the WSOP are hard at work planning the event schedule for 2018 WSOP Europe, and will announce details when they have been finalized.
