Lincoln, Calif. (September 12, 2017) – The fourth of 26 scheduled World Series of Poker Circuit stops kicks off this Thursday, September 14 at Thunder Valley Casino & Resort in Lincoln, Calif. (near Sacramento) for the 2017/2018 season. There will be 12 gold rings up for grabs across 12 days with two Global Casino Championship seats on the line for the casino champion and the Main Event winner. This is one of three newly-added stops on the Circuit, and Thunder Valley will host another Circuit series this season (from January 11 – 22, 2018). With $500,000 guaranteed for the $1,675 Main Event, someone will be walking away with a six-figure payday.
The opening event on Thursday features a multi-flight re-entry event with five starting flights for multiple shots at the $250,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players are permitted to re-enter once per flight in the quest to capture the first gold ring of the series.
There is certainly something for everyone in this varied schedule, including two turbo events, a bounty event awarding $100 per knockout, and a Monster Stack event for those looking to play a deep structure. For those looking for a change from No-Limit Hold’em, this series is also running a HORSE event, and a Pot Limit Omaha event for some extra excitement.
These preliminary events lead up to the marquee $1,675 Main Event with $500,000 guaranteed in the prize pool. Players have a chance to enter up to twice during each of the two starting flights in this four-day event. Wrapping up this jam-packed series is the two-day $2,200 High Roller on Sunday, September 24 for one final push for a gold ring.
