Day 1B of Main Event Highlights Saturday at Choctaw

Durant, OK (24 Jan 2017) - In the wee hours of Tuesday morning, the Choctaw World Series of Poker Circuit stop came to a conclusion. Grant Hinkle won his first Circuit gold ring when he took down the Main Event. Hinkle also took home a monsterous $375,427.

Mykel Comroe won his firsts gold ring when he took down Event #12, the $365 No-Limit Hold'em One-Day tournament. Event #12 began and concluded in a period of 24 hours, starting at 2pm on Sunday January 22nd at 2pm. By 3am on the 23rd, Comroe was victorious taking home the ring and $35,532.

Casino Champion Race:

At the conclusion of the Choctaw series, Nathanael Kogel has won the Casino Champion race. Kogel won Event #5 ($365 No-Limit Hold'em), and then took down Event #8 ($365 No-Limit Hold’em) less than 48 hours later. He also cashed in Event #2 ($365 Re-Entry) giving him a total of 102.5 points. The player who accumulated the most overall points in the twelve gold ring tournaments at Choctaw Casino earned the title of Casino Champion, and receives an automatic entry into the $1 million 2017 WSOP Global Casino Championship (seat valued at $10,000). Grant Hinkle, the winner of the Choctaw Main Event also earned an automatic entry to the Global Casino Championship. All players who cashed in ring events received points that applied to both the Casino Champion race and the season-long race to claim one of the 50 at-large Global Casino Championship bids awarded to the top point earners throughout the season.
