The World Series of Poker Circuit will return to Foxwoods Casino this on Thursday of this week. This is the second stop of the 2016/17 Circuit schedule.
Over the course of 12 days, a total of 12 official ring events will be
played, in addition to the non-ring senior and ladies events.
Thursday, August 18th marks the beginning of the second Circuit event in which players can qualify for the 2016/17 Casino Global Championship. Action opens with a $365 No Limit Hold ‘Em Ring event at 11am. Later in the day at 5pm, the $365 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry event will also commence. The re-entry event boasts a $500,000 guarantee and a Global Casino Championship seat.
The $1,675 Main Event
will be played Friday August 26th through August 19th, with a few other
tournaments scheduled throughout those days as well. The last Circuit
main event held at this stop in April of this year drew 461 runners,
with a prize pool of $693,113. Samuel Taylor won his first Circuit Main Event, and the first place $149,020 cash prize.
