Stateline, Nev. (November 5, 2015) -- Day 2 of the monster stack was a long and tough grind and the player to survive to the very end was Daniel Evans. Evans scores $23,874 and his first WSOP Circuit gold ring for his victory in the Monster Stack. More on Evans' win can be found on WSOP.com.
There were two other gold ring events running today alongside the monster stack. They were Event #8 $580 NLHE and Event #9 - $365 PLO. The $580 NLHE event drew 226 players, creating a $113,000 prizepool. By the end of the day only eight players remained, including several gold ring winners. One of those gold ring winners is eight-time gold ring winner, Alex Masek.

Event #9 PLO was also able to make it down to the final table today. They began with 92 players and now just five players remain. Three-time gold ring winner, Steve Foutty, will look to win his second gold ring of the series.

The Harveys Lake Tahoe Main Event starts up Friday at 11 a.m. with the first of two starting flights. The series as a whole as seen an uptick in participation over last year's series and it is expected that trend will hold true for the the Main Event.
