Re-entry Draws Huge Field
The final two starting flights of the $365 No Limit Hold'em Re-Entry event wrapped up on Sunday at the Bicycle Casino, finalizing what is expected to be the biggest field of the WSOP Circuit series.
Over the four flights spanning both Saturday and Sunday, 1,000 players made their way to the Los Angeles casino to take their shot at the $200,000 guaranteed prizepool, which was surpassed as the field size created a $300,000 prizepool.
At the end of the fourth flight, it was Rafi Azam who stood out from the rest of the pack, finishing with 278,600 and comes into Day 2 with a massive chip lead over the rest of the field. His closest competitor is Baruch Thaler, who bagged 183,200 at the end of the Day 1B.
Azam leads the final 155 who will be back at the Bike at noon on Monday to play Day 2 of this three-day event. When cards get in the air on Monday, the money bubble will be on everybody 's mind, with the top 108 players earning a payday of at least $550.
A min-cash is wroth $550, but everybody has their sights set on the $55,510 first place prize and the Circuit gold ring that comes with it. (Click here for the full payout structure.)
Among the 155 players coming back for Day 2, Alan Myerson is one of them and a cash for him will be worth more than others. Myerson is currently tied atop the Casino Championship leaderboard at the Bicycle casino and can take the lead outright with a cash on Monday. He is in good shape to earn a cash and possibly another deep run, coming into Monday with 97,300 in chips.
As the tournament gets deeper into the structure, the levels get longer. While the Day 1 levels were 30 minutes each, Day 2 levels start at 40 minutes long and will increase to 50 minutes and eventually 60 minutes by the end of the day.
The remaining players will come back on Tuesday at 1 p.m. to play down to a winner. Complete Day 2 chip counts can be found here.

One Ring Event Begins Monday
With the re-entry event combining to one field, the rest of the series is going to start to pick up. On Monday, the fourth event starts at noon with another $365 No Limit Hold'em event and will run simultaneously with the re-entry.
Event #4 has late registration open until the beginning of level 7, so players who bust out of the re-entry will have a chance at the single bullet, two-day ring event.
Two more events start on Tuesday, with a $580 No Limit Hold'em at noon and a $365 Omaha 8 or better getting cards in the air at 3 p.m. Both are two-day events.
