Two players here at Harrah’s New Orleans will earn automatic
entries into the 2015 WSOP National
Championship, scheduled for July 29-31 at Harrah’s Cherokee (North
Carolina). The Main Event winner earns a free entry, valued at $10,000, as does
the Casino Champion—the player who earns the most leaderboard points
over the course of the 12 ring events.
They’ll be joined at the National Championship by over 50
at-large qualifiers, each of whom also earns a free entry. The top 50 players
on the year-long Circuit leaderboard qualify. This is the penultimate stop of
the 2014-2015 WSOP Circuit season, and one of the last chances for players to
earn points and score a seat. The last stop of the season will be held at
Foxwoods, beginning May 13th, just a couple days after actions concludes here
in New Orleans.
