More than three hours into play at the WSOP Main Event Championship final table, Jorryt Van Hoof looks indestructible.
The early chip leader has increased his stack size, now at just over 41 million. More important, he's widened the gap between his closest rival in chips, currently Dan Sindelar with 27 million and Felix Stephensen with about 24 million. All other players have 20 million or less in chips, giving Van Hoof some cushion of comfort.
Everyone following the final table action is still buzzing over the massive bluff Van Hoof pulled towards the end of the last level, when he made what was arguably the boldest play of the night, so far. On that key hand, Van Hoof pushed all in on a hand where he didn't have what he was representing, causing Andoni Larrabe to fold.
Prior to the bluff, Van Hoof temporarily lost his chip lead to Stephensen, albeit the two were almost neck-and-neck in chips. However, after Van Hoof's bluff, he sailed to over 40 million for the first time.
