NEXT STOP, COLORADO: WSOP CIRCUIT SETS UP SHOP AT THE LODGE CASINO
Black Hawk, Colo. (March 12, 2013) — The WSOP Circuit at the Lodge Casino in Black Hawk, Colo. begins Thursday, March 14 and runs through the 25. The 12-day event marks the first time for a WSOP-sanctioned event to be held in Colorado.

“We know there are a lot of poker players in the Rocky Mountain region and we’re excited to bring the WSOP experience exclusively to The Lodge Casino at Black Hawk,” said WSOP Tournament Director Jack Effel.

The Lodge Casino, nestled in the Colorado mountains about 40 miles west of Denver, is a full-service property with 975 slot machines, 22 tables game and a poker room that spreads some of the biggest games in Colorado.

Additionally, the property boasts 50 newly-renovated hotel rooms, complimentary valet parking and four bars and lounges.

WSOP Circuit events kick off Thursday, March 14 at 11 a.m. with a $365 No-Limit Hold’em tournament. Other events include a $365 No-Limit Hold’em Re-Entry event with two starting flights (11 a.m. and 7 p.m.) on Saturday, March 16 and a $365 Limit Omaha Eight or Better tournament beginning Monday, March 18.

The $1,675 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event begins Friday, March 22 at 11 a.m. with the first of three starting flights. Flights B and C begin Friday, March 22 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 23 at 11 a.m. Players are allowed a total of one re-entry. If a player has played only one flight, they have option of re-entering at the beginning of Day 2.

The final table takes place Monday, March 25 and will be aired on ESPN3 with hole cards and commentary from WSOP Circuit host Bernard Lee.

The property also hosts a special Ladies No-Limit Hold’em event (Thursday, March 21 at 5 p.m.) and a Seniors No-Limit Hold’em event (Saturday, March 23 at 5 p.m.) Both tournaments feature $250 buy-ins.

Players will arrive at the Lodge Casino via Denver International Airport and I-70. The drive from Denver to Black Hawk takes roughly 50 minutes.

The 12-day series encompasses the dates originally slated for WSOP Circuit events at Horseshoe Cleveland which was postponed until fall as part of the 2013-2014 WSOP Circuit season.
