Making it to the Main Event Championship final table is not just a rare privilege for players. For poker dealers, the opportunity to deal in the biggest poker game of the year is the ultimate manifestation of excellence.
This year's final table includes five poker dealers. Each dealer is rotated out after a 30-minute working session. The finale includes a larger number dealers than one might expect due to what have historically been long playing sessions, sometimes lasting as long as 16 hours. Obviously, with so much on the line, the last thing anyone wants to see is a dealer error.
But these dealers are truly the best in the business. Let's meet the crew who made the 2012 WSOP final table:
Tammy Wynne (five years dealing at WSOP, first televised final table)
Shawn Harris (six years dealing at WSOP, third televised final table)
Tim Louie (five years dealing at WSOP, third televised final table)
David Rodriguez, a.k.a. “D-Rod” (four years dealing at WSOP, first televised final table)
Jennifer Palmer (six years dealing at WSOP, third televised final table).
The WSOP is fortunate to have these dedicated poker dealers. Congratulations to each of them for making the ultimate final table in their profession.
