The World Series of Poker Europe has a new home in 2017. For the first time in the decade-long history of WSOPE, the tournament moves to the Czech Republic, in King's Casino, Rozvadov.
King's boasts the largest poker room in Europe, with 160 tables and a soon-to-be-completed hotel with 250 rooms.
The 2017 WSOP Europe run from October 19 to November 10 and will feature 11 bracelet events, ranging in buy-in from €550 to €111,111. The guaranteed prize pools exceed €20,000,000.
Festivities kick off with the €1,100 Monster Stack event, with three starting flights on October 19, 20, and 21. About a week later, the European edition of the Colossus tournament begins on October 27th. This event carries a €2,000,000 guarantee and his has 10 starting flights, two each day from October 27 to
31. With 4,000 entries (enough to meet the guarantee), the Colossus would set the record for the biggest field size at this buy-in level in European
history.
The schedule features two charity events benefitting ONE DROP, WSOP's charity
partner since 2012. First is the €1,111 Little One for One Drop. It has two starting flights, on November 4 and 5, and a €500,000
guarantee. Then on November 3, the €111,111 High Roller for One Drop gets underway. This tournament has a massive €10,000,000 guaranteed
prize pool, and will be limited to 111 players.
The series culminates with the €10,300 Main Event, featuring a €5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. It has two starting flights, November 4 and 5, and will run until the Series concludes.
Leading up to the 2017 WSOP Europe, King's Casino will host a WSOP International Circuit event, running from September 28 to October 19. The combined festival will run for 44 consecutive days and feature 84 events.
